Resolution Steps


BEFCMU and WCG200 Version 1 Gateway Supported Settings

  1. Remote login to the HLAN gateway

  2. On the Wireless tab, make sure the Wireless Network is Enabled by selecting the Enable radio button

  3. Enter the customer requested SSID in the Network Name field

  4. Use the following settings to complete setup

     Wireless Network Type  Mixed
     Channel Setting  Default
     Wireless Encryption Level  128-Bit Encryption
     Wireless SSID Broadcast  Enabled
  5. Enter the 26-character WEP key in the following format

    • CC+AccountNumber+CC+AccountNumber

    • Example: cc09008675309cc09008675309

     

 


WCG200 Version 2 Gateway and Standalone Linksys Routers Supported Settings  

  1. For WCG200 version 2, remote login to the HLAN gateway

    • For WRT54G2, always connect via Ethernet cable 

  2. On the Wireless tab, enter the SSID in the Network Name field and the following settings

     Wireless Network Type  Mixed
     Channel Setting  Default
  3. On the Wireless Security tab, use the following settings

     Wireless SSID Broadcast  Enabled
     Security Mode  WPA2 Personal
  4. Enter the WPA2 Passphrase in the field provided made up of at least 8 alphanumeric characters and is case sensitive

    • Passphrase must be at least 8 alphanumeric characters, and is case sensitive
