Resolution Steps
TiVo Remote Controls
- Refer to Remote control Manuals to program the Remote for your device:
TiVo does not respond to Remote commands
- Manually Power cycle the TiVo
- If the remote is in IR mode, the LED will light up red. Reset the TiVo remote
- Pair the remote to the TiVo using RF. See remote control Manuals for instructions:
- Once paired, the TiVo remote's LED lights up amber (RF mode)
- Test the TiVo remote again
Interfering with/controlling other devices
- Change TiVo remote address and operating frequency
Other Remote controls
- Refer to remote control Manuals for instructions:
Converter does not respond commands
- Press Channel UP/DOWN buttons on the converter if possible
- Power-Cycle the converter
- Take the batteries out of the remote and insert them back in (refer to remote control manual) and try the remote again:
- Make sure the TV is on the correct input:
- You may need to use the controls on the TV or the original TV remote to do this
Mute or volume do not work
- Refer to remote control manuals to the batteries or program the remote
- If programming trouble remains, reset the remote. Refer to Reset instructions on the Remote control Manuals for instructions:
