MyRCN Voice Mail Access and Features:
You can also retrieve voice mail messages online through MyRCN or RCN Mobile
In MyRCN, users must setup their PIN in order to see call logs, contacts and listen to voice mail
- When the PIN is not set up, users see the Unlock with PIN for voice mail link in right navigation

- Customers are then prompted to enter the PIN

- When the PIN is set up, users see phone numbers in right navigation

- Click a phone number in the right navigation
- For each phone number, there is a section for Voice Mail, Calls, Contacts and Update PIN
Voice Mail - This section shows the incoming calls
- The columns show:
- From - shows the phone number and the caller's name if they are in your contacts. (Click the + sign to add contact information)
- Received- shows date and time of call
- Length - shows call length
- Play Icon - allows you to play message
- Download Icon - allows download of the message as a .mp3 file
- Trash Icon - delete the message

Outgoing Calls
- Click on (+) to the right of Recent Calls to bring up the outgoing calls made
- The call detail shows the number and the date/time that the call was made
- A drop down menu allows you to filter calls by Local, Regional, Long Distance, and International

- Click on (+) to the right of Contacts to bring up the contacts
- You may either edit an existing contact or click on New Contact to bring up the Add Contact screen

- Click on pencil icon of an existing Contact
Note: You may edit the phone number and description

What is my PIN? Is it the Same as my MyRCN Password?
- No, your PIN is separate from your password
- The first time you call voice mail, you are prompted to set up your PIN
- The number in the phone account PIN field
Will I Need to Re-enter my PIN the Next Time I Use Voice mail?
- No, the PIN is stored encrypted in MyRCN's database
Can I Change my PIN on MyRCN?
- Yes. Click on Change Pin at the bottom of the Voice Mail and Recent Calls page. Enter your current voice mail pin, then select a new PIN
What Software do I Need to Access my Voice Mail?
- You should use a recent web browser
- The browser needs JavaScript enabled and the Adobe Flash Plugin, version 9 or greater, installed and enabled
- If you do not have Flash installed, you can still download your messages to hear them
How Can I Play Downloaded Messages?
Downloaded voice mail messages are in MP3 format and can be heard with any software that can play MP3s, such as Microsoft Windows Media Player or Apple iTunes
How Long are My Messages Available? How Many are Stored?
- Residential - available for 30 days. 20 calls stored with a maximum individual call length of 2 minutes each
- Small Business - available for 30 days. 40 calls stored with a maximum individual call length of 4 minutes each
How Long is Call History Available?
- Call history is available until the next bill generates with 100 calls maximum
- The call history displayed is unbilled usage
- Once the account goes to billing, the call history resets
How Long are Contacts Available?
For as long as you have the account
How Many Contacts May I Have?
The maximum number of combined contacts is 1000. The maximum number of contact groups is 10. The maximum size of each contact group is 65 contacts
Can I Upload or Download a List of Contacts?
- An Upload Contacts option is available in the RCN Mobile App Phone section
- When a customer chooses to upload their smartphone's contact information, the RCN Mobile app includes the name along with the phone number in areas such as recent outgoing calls and incoming voice mail, improving the overall experience
- In MyRCN, new contacts can manually entered
I Deleted a Voice Mail I Want to Hear Again. Can I Get it back?
Once voice mails are deleted, they are gone for good. If you want to retain voice mails, download them since they eventually expire.
