Creating, Reconnecting, and Transferring Email Only and Dial-Up Service- Article no. 2005

Introduction

Authenticate two (2) Security Questions OR the CPNI PIN and one (1) Security Question before discussing or changing any applicable CPNI and PII-protected information; customers cannot opt-out of CPNI verification

Important:

  • There is a charge for each email address
     
  • We no longer install or change service in Site 92 
     
  • Email Only accounts are not available in Former WOW! or Broadstripe domains 
     
  • Email Only accounts are not available in CA, OR, WA, or TX
     
  • Remember to update the Customer Questionaire [CQ] screen in ICOMS for the new account
     
  • Commercial Agents - Do not create/transfer an email only account or dial-up service for TX

Resolution Steps

    1. Find the customer address in Site 91, if it is not there Add the address to ICOMS

    1. From Order Entry choose Install

    1. Select appropriate service only code:
       
      • Site 91 - REMLONY
         
      • All other sites - NEMLONY
         
    2. On the One Time Charges [OT] screen, schedule Office Only
       
    3. Enter to complete the work order- select the Completed radio button
    4.  Customer Equipment Maintenance Screen [BX] - create the Dummy Equipment

    5. In the High Speed Data Users [DU] screen, click Add
       
      • Click the Sub Account field, press F4, then Click Add again
         
    6. Press Enter
       
    7. Highlight the customer's name. Enter 1 in the Service Occurrence field
       
    8. Type the User ID (not email address) (in all lowercase letters) and password
       
        • Username must have at least 4 characters and no more than 32

        • May have periods and hyphens

      • Cannot start with a number, period, hyphen nor contain an underscore

11.Go to Provisioning Transactions [PT] screen, Verify HSDSUB_CRT is 402


12.Balance account in the Equipment Balancing [EB] screen

    1. Find the customer address in Site 91, if it is not there Add the address to ICOMS

    1. From Order Entry choose Install

    1. One Time Charges [OT] screen, schedule Office Only

  1. Enter to complete the work order- select the Completed radio button
  2.  Customer Equipment Maintenance Screen [BX] - create the Dummy Equipment

  3. In the High Speed Data Users [DU] screen, click Add
     
    • Click the Sub Account field, press F4, then Click Add again
       
  4. Press Enter
     
  5. Highlight the customer's name, then enter 1 in the Service Occurrence field
     
  6. Type the User ID (in all lowercase letters) and password
     
    • Username must have at least 4 characters and no more than 32
       
    • May have periods and hyphens
       
    • Cannot start with a number, period, hyphen nor contain an underscore
       
  7. Go to Provisioning Transactions [PT] screen, Verify HSDSUB_CRT is 402
     
  8. In Webtools search for the customers old ICOMS account, either by username or account number
     
    • Search the username in Webtools - or -
       
    • Search Webtools with the 11-digit customer number -
       
      • On the [PT] screen, click ISP Registration Number and remove the leading zero
         
      • For example, Site 22 customer with an ICOMS account number of 1234 the correct sales number is 22000123403
         
    • Webtools - click the username on the right side bar
       
    • Select chacct_num from the pull down menu
       
    • Enter the ISP registration number for the site 91 account - for example 91000123403
       
    • You are prompted to verify the new customer number, then click Submit
       
  9. Access Customer Equipment Maintenance [BX] screen
     
  10. Highlight the device than press the Port Acc Asgn button
     
  11. Next, highlight the dial-up service, after pressing the Modem Prov button, Press Activate in blue area
     
  12. Highlight the dial-up service again. Press the Modem Prov button again. Local Status should now read A  Active
     
  13. Balance account in the Equipment Balancing [EB] screen 
     
  14. Remove the email address from the High Speed User [DU] screen of the old email account
    1. Find the customer address in Site 91, if it is not there Add the address to ICOMS
    2. From Order Entry, choose Install
    3. Select appropriate service only code:
